This newsletter talks about the challenge of keeping newborns healthy in the real world. Sometimes we can't avoid exposure to viruses, but there are steps we can take to decrease the risk.
Thank you so very much for this! We have a five week old and two big kids (7 and 4) who tested positive for RSV a week/week and a half ago, respectively. We’ve kept the baby totally separate from them but it’s been tricky. This information is incredibly helpful - though I still don’t know when I’ll feel comfortable having them together again. Yikes!
We’ve been there! Our twins were born 10 days before thanksgiving (pre-pandemic) and a ton of family came into town, with 3 days of family events. The first night we realized just the stimulation alone was too much! The second day we kept them separate from the group in a quiet room and only those most interested came to spend time with them. Bonus- mom and dad got a break to feel normal while pediatric and L&D cousins kept watch :)

The 3rd day we baby wore the whole time.
That sounds exhausting. The quiet room sounds like where I would want to hang out for sure. :) I love baby wearing.
