Why me?

I’m a pediatrician and parent in NYC. Before launching my private practice at the Atria Institute, I spent time working in academic complex care and school health. I am passionate about helping better support parents, and I’ve seen all the gaps in our system that prevent parents from getting the information they need to help their children.

As a pediatrician,

I have all of this training and formal knowledge that I’ve found invaluable when it comes to raising my own children. There’s no replacement for having a great doctor of your own who you trust. But short visits can’t possibly address all of a parent’s questions, and I hope my writing can be a useful supplement.

As a mother and a friend,

I’ve seen the real-world side of what works and what doesn’t. I hear from my friends all the time about the topics that are under-explained - the times in parenting where the guidelines and well-child visits do not adequately prepare us. I’m drawn to discussing these things my friends ask me as their doctor-friend. Behavior, sleep, development, mental health, safety, coronavirus and more.

I love to share evidence-based parenting advice and health information in newsletter format.
